Tim Connelly Named as Likely Candidate for Wizards Open PoBO Job
Just a week or two ago, it was reported by Darren Wolfson (KSTP, SKOR North) that Minnesota Timberwolves President of Basketball Operations, Tim Connelly, may already be looking for an easy escape route out of the Twin Cities.
Tim Connelly named as likely PoBO candidate in Washington DC
On Wednesday, those reports appear to be vindicated by a tweet from USA Today Sports reporter, Jeff Zillgitt. Zilgett tweeted this evening that Tim Connelly, who has family ties to the Washington DC area, will be one of the names sure to “pop up” as a possible hire for new Washington Wizards head of basketball operations.
With Tommy Sheppard out as Wizards head of basketball ops, expect a a handful of names to pop up for the job including Trajan Langdon and Tim Connelly who has family ties to the area.

I wrote about it in my last piece on this subject and I will say it again now. Tim Connelly is being widely accused of making one of the worst trades in sports history, in his short time as Wolves PoBO. If he turns around and accepts a job somewhere else, essentially admitting that he screwed up and doesn’t want to deal with the aftermath, then he is a coward.
