Minnesota Wild Depth Chart, Projected Lines and Current Salary Cap Space (2024-25)

The Minnesota Wild depth chart was put through the ringer, during the first half of the 2024-25 NHL season. Injuries have been public enemy No. 1 for a Wild team that has otherwise vastly overachieved, thus far. The 2nd half of the season is now fully underway, and we’ve still got injuries.
When the NHL Trade Deadline was still to come, Wild GM Bill Guerin decided that injuries to star players Kirill Kaprizov and Joel Erikkson Ek were not enough to put them out for the rest of the regular season. This left the budged still strapped, and forced the Wild to remain relatively still during the busiest time of the year. However, they made a move to upgrade at forward, acquiring Justin Brazeau from the Boston Bruins.
Now, we’ll see what he and recently re-acquired Gustav Nyquist can bring to the table while we wait for the big dogs. Here’s how the depth chart and lines now stand after the latest acquisitions.
