Reunion Between Everson Griffen and Vikings “Not Going to Happen”
The Minnesota Vikings still have offseason money to spend and a need at defensive end. Coincidentally, Everson Griffen is working out in Minnesota and has outwardly expressed his desire to wear purple and gold again. If Griffen is willing to come back on the cheap, the Vikings should welcome him with open arms, right?
Well… not if he thinks your quarterback, Kirk Cousins, “is ass”. And unfortunately for Everson, Twitter doesn’t forget and neither do the Vikings. According to Charley Walters of the Pioneer Press, a reunion between the two sides is “not going to happen”.
Ex-Viking Everson Griffen, 33, continues to work out in Minneapolis hoping to rejoin the team, but that’s not going to happen.

We don’t know exactly why Rick Spielman and Mike Zimmer aren’t interested in the return of Everson Griffen. He’s going to be 34 and, it’s true, we don’t know how much gas is left in his tank. But he had a pretty decent year in 2020-21, racking up 6 sacks in 14 games (only two starts).
Those numbers point to the perfect platoon defensive end for team that needs more pressure on opposing QB’s. Unless, of course, that platoon defensive end thinks your quarterback is ass.
