New NFL Rule Change Could Make Jaren Hall a 53-Man Lock for Vikings
Believe it or not, it sounds like the Minnesota Vikings considered releasing Jaren Hall, as recently as last week. At least, that’s what one report said. But after a very strong outing in the Vikings’ final preseason game, Hall getting him through waivers seemed unlikely.

Teams are always trying to improve their quarterback depth. Many teams without a true bonafide starting quarterback are always looking for quarterbacks like Hall. That’s why, even prior to this rule change, the Vikings were probably keeping Jaren Hall on the 53-man roster. Now, it seems like a lock.
