Randy Moss’ Son Denies Terrifying Report Regarding His Dad’s Health

When the Minnesota Vikings drafted wide receiver Randy Moss, with the 21st pick in the 1998 NFL Draft, the fanbase was excited… but nobody could have predicted what would happen from September through December, that year, when Randy took over the local sports market in a way we had never seen before, or since.

The moment Moss stepped on the field, football changed forever. If you want to know why every team in the NFL now runs two-high safeties on nearly every single play. That started with Randy Moss. He was unstoppable in single coverage, even with safety help. Hell, he was difficult to stop, even with two or three defenders on him.
What we know: Randy Moss dealing with a health condition affecting his eyes
Today, a dozen years since Moss retired, he’s paid as a studio analyst for ESPN on NFL Countdown. Over the weekend, Randy revealed to the world that he’s battling a serious health condition, but did not disclose details. All we know is, whatever’s going on, it’s affecting his eyes, which is why he has been wearing sunglasses the last two weekends on Countdown.
Unfortunately, we won’t be seeing him on Sundays or Mondays, at least for the foreseeable future. Moss announced in recent days that he is stepping away from his TV job, in order to address and work through his health problems.

Many on social media have pointed out a yellow color (jaundice) to his eyes, which can mean a person’s liver is not working properly. But Randy and his family have held his diagnosis from the public, so far.
Report that Moss has liver cancer denied by family
On Tuesday night, however, local independent insider Larry Fitzgerald Sr (father of Larry Fitzgerald Jr) reported some very, very bad news. According to Fitz Sr, Randy Moss has liver cancer, a report that started to spread fast, after Larry’s tweet. That was until Randy’s son, Thaddeus Moss, jumped into Fitzgerald’s replies (among others) to STRONGLY deny the report.
This is disgusting. You have no right to try to make private matters public for the sake of engagement. I do not believe my father talks to you , so check your fucking sources

Brett , the support is appreciated, truly. This is not true. My father will address the world when he is ready to

It sounds like Moss will make an announcement on what he is battling, soon. Until then, we will be left wondering what exactly is going on. Is Larry’s report false…? It would appear so (and good god, let’s hope so), but time will tell.
In his 14-year NFL career, Randy Moss caught 982 passes for 15,292 yards and 156 touchdowns. He led the league in receiving touchdowns five different times, setting an NFL record in 2003, with 23, which has never been challenged, since. Randy went to six Pro Bowls, was named All-Pro four times, and was inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame in 2018.
Get well soon, G.O.A.T.
But more importantly, Moss made football into a religion for Minnesota Vikings fans that are now between the ages of 30 and 40. To this day, my best Vikings memories stem from watching Randy Moss catch footballs and do things on the field that my 10-year-old brain could not comprehend, at the time.

Now, Randy needs our thoughts and prayers. So pay him back for all that happiness he brought us today, as we await word on what is going on.
