Where Do Minnesota Vikings Rank in Latest NFL Power Rankings (Week 6)
The Minnesota Vikings are 5-0, and remain just one of two undefeated teams in the NFL. After the Kansas City Chiefs won on Monday night, they too moved to 5-0, becoming the only undefeated team in the AFC. We saw the Vikings reach the top of multiple NFL Power Rankings lists, last week.
After a somewhat shaky victory overseas, how will the power rankings gods react? Positively. In fact, there doesn’t seem to be any funny business in any of the rankings, entering week six. Every major list has the Minnesota Vikings sitting 1st or 2nd, in their week six NFL power rankings.
Minnesota Vikings remain near top of various NFL Power Rankings
Rankings that pushed the Vikings ahead of the Chiefs, last week, kept them there for week six. Same thing for those who had the Chiefs at the top of their rankings, in week five. They too remain bullish on their original choice for the number one spot.

Now, the Minnesota Vikings will go into their bye week pretty much atop the NFL world. It will be interesting to see how the rankings adjust next Tuesday. Neither the Chiefs or Vikings play in week six. I’d imagine that makes both teams pretty safe in the NFL Power Rankings.
What’s next for the Vikings?
I can’t imagine any of the above outlets will move any one-loss teams ahead of the undefeated teams, no matter how well any of those one-loss teams play, while Minnesota and Kansas City watch games from home. Out of the bye, the Vikings will welcome NFC North rival and last year’s division champs, the Detroit Lions to U.S. Bank Stadium.
Winner takes control of the North. It’s an even more crucial game for the Minnesota Vikings. You must win your divisional home games, especially when they’re as good as the Lions. You don’t want to travel to Detroit later this season, already down 1-0 in the season series.
