Two More Surprise Starters Land on Minnesota Vikings Injury Report

It’s been a difficult week of injuries for the Minnesota Vikings, and most of them were pretty unknown, until the first injury report of the week dropped on Wednesday.

Well, if you were surprised to see Andrew Van Ginkel and Garrett Bradbury pop up yesterday, be careful peaking at Thursday’s updated version. First, the good news. Van Ginkel was upgraded to “Limited”, and Jalen Nailor was a full participant.

Onto the bad news. Two of the more important pieces on the depth chart, Harrison Smith and Brian O’Neill, both made their debuts on this week’s injury report. The 35-year-old six-time pro bowl safety didn’t practice at all.

  • Jordan Addison – DNP (Ankle)
  • Andrew Van Ginkel – Limited (Foot)
  • Garrett Bradbury – Limited (Knee)
  • Harrison Smith – DNP (Hip)
  • Brian O’Neill – Limited (Elbow)

That makes six total Minnesota Vikings starters who have graced the injury report, at one point or another this week. I mean, what are we doing at TCO Performance Center? Players are supposed to get healthier, as the week goes on. Not the other way around.
