Aaron Jones is Absolutely Pumped for His US Bank Stadium Debut
The Minnesota Vikings broke out their shiny new toy last week against the New York Giants. While Kevin O’Connell isn’t traditionally seen as a fan of running the football, he hasn’t had a back like Aaron Jones before. The former Green Bay Packers halfback is excited to be on the good sideline for the first time in Week 2.
Aaron Jones can’t wait to clap with the Minnesota Vikings
Aaron Jones has been ecstatic since signing with the Minnesota Vikings this offseason. Health has previously eluded him but remaining on the field gives him a chance to be a key addition to O’Connell’s offense. He will be on the field Sunday for the first time to call U.S. Bank Stadium home, and he couldn’t be more excited.

“Skol! I’m so ready to hear that, and the horn. I’ve seen it from the other side and let me tell you it’s contagious. When you’re on the other sideline you’re trying not to clap. You’re trying not to get into it cause you see the whole stadium doing it, and it’s contagious. I’m really amped to just come out there and play in front of the fans at U.S. Bank here in Minnesota. This has been special for me, and the fans here are special, so I’ll be excited for Sunday.”
Aaron Jones on his U.S. Bank Stadium debut
It’s good to know that the entire time Aaron Jones has been with the Green Bay Packers he was trying to hold back from doing the Skol chant. Packers have previously come to the Vikings, but few have been as vocal about their happiness in switching teams as Jones has.

Minnesota is up against a tough San Francisco 49ers squad on Sunday. If Jones can put together another strong performance, Kevin O’Connell’s squad may find themselves pulling off the upset.
Minnesota Vikings could have something special in Aaron Jones
It’s just a one-year deal for Aaron Jones in Minnesota. What happens next season remains to be seen. He could make this season a career-best however. Jones has credited the Vikings with properly preparing his body, and being available will have him flirting with new high water marks.
Aaron Jones has creativity that the Vikings were lacking last year. The "right" answer might be to follow blocking between Brandel and Ham, but he jumps two gaps over and finds room for a 9 yard gain. pic.twitter.com/WSBBn5N2FJ

Jones rushed for 94 yards in his debut. Last season Kevin O’Connell watched Alexander Mattison flop out of the gate. In his first year he had Dalvin Cook running on fumes. Jones isn’t a spring chicken by age, but he has missed time that have kept him from taking the hits a typical 29-year-old would have experienced.
The Vikings are going to be up against long odds until they prove their doubters wrong against solid competition. Jones and quarterback Sam Darnold were great on Sunday, but that was against the New York Giants. If that performance can be replicated against the 49ers, then things take a whole different turn.

Minnesota could have a difference maker in Jones, and he’ll draw plenty of roars coming out of the tunnel for them.
