New Minnesota Vikings quarterback Josh Dobbs, miraculously led teammates — most of which he didn’t even know the names of — to a victory over the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday.

With a Jaren Hall in concussion protocol and Nick Mullens, still on IR, the Vikings will turn to Dobbs as their starter this week against New Orleans.
Josh Dobbs will get all the 1st-team reps in practice this week, Kevin O'Connell said, with the idea that he will start vs. Saints.

Jaren Hall is in concussion protocol. O'Connell still not sure on when Nick Mullens (IR) will be ready. Sean Mannion could be Sunday's backup.
Not only has Josh Dobbs been named Vikings QB1 this week, but local insider Darren ”Doogie” Wolfson of SKOR North, and KSTP (Ch. 5), expects Kevin O’Connell will go with Dobbs until his new rocket scientist QB proves he should do otherwise.
Dobbs is the guy now.

We can discuss who should get what amount of credit for yesterday’s win (and we already have) but one thing has become pretty clear in the hours sense in Joshua Dobbs is the Minnesota Vikings new starter until further notice.
I think that declaring Dobbs as the starter is a smart decision, by KOC. Let the team and fanbase ride this wave of momentum as long as possible. This is a week to week league. If his wave hits a sea wall, nobody is going to care who was named the starter last week.
