The preseason doesn’t matter, right? I sure hope not because the first half of the most hyped preseason game of every season just ended and the new Vikings passing game looked like Christian Ponder was running it again…

“It was a really poor performance offensively” are Mike Zimmer’s exact words, as I just heard them spoken on the FOX simulcast on my TV. It looked like Mike Zimmer might send Cousins back out there for the beginning of the second half because he had his helmet on when kickoff took place but Sean Mannion is the guy who trotted out onto the field afterward.
That means no redemption drive for Kirk Cousins and now we get to talk about that disgusting first half for the next two weeks until the Vikings host Atlanta in Week 1 of the regular season…
Oh yeah, this also happened. It’s only a 5th-rounder, right?

I’m just going to go to sleep now and hope I wake up to a new Saturday morning where we can just start this whole thing over again…
