Minnesota Twins Hall of Fame Inducts Longtime 3rd Baseman Corey Koskie
With Twins Fest set to take place over the weekend, the days leading up to the event provide something of a news dump. Among the highlights from Friday’s media luncheon included the revealing of a new Hall of Fame member.
Longtime third baseman, and current Minnesota town ball legend, Corey Koskie will be inducted into the Minnesota Twins Hall of Fame this summer. He follows up the 2024 class of Terry Ryan and Rick Stelmaszek.
Corey Koskie makes up Minnesota Twins 2025 Hall of Fame class
Some years multiple people are inducted into the Minnesota Twins Hall of Fame. Last year the class included two members, while 2023 featured just Joe Mauer. The 2025 class will include only Corey Koskie, becoming the 41st member of the group.

The native of Canada currently resides in Minnesota and still gets in plenty of baseball. While he isn’t playing professionally like former teammate Lew Ford, the 51-year-old is often found on town ball diamonds.
Koskie played nine years in the big leagues with seven of them coming in a Twins uniform. He finished with 124 home runs and owned a .275/.367/.458 slash line. Koskie played in a career-high 153 games during the 2021 season and finished with a 121 OPS+. His production earned him down-ballot MVP votes.

Unfortunately, Koskie’s career was cut short due to injury issues that stemmed from multiple concussions. After a season with Toronto and another with Milwaukee, he hung up his cleats at just 33 years old.
Although the movie is about the Oakland Athletics and their new sabermetric ways of roster building, Koskie was part of the Twins team that knocked off Billy Beane’s “Moneyball” team in the 2002 ALDS. They also ended Oakland’s AL-record winning streak at 20 games.

The Twins will honor Koskie with a pregame ceremony this summer. The date selected is August 17, prior to a game against the Detroit Tigers. That tilt is a Sunday afternoon affair.
