Minnesota Twins Hire Former Player to Front Office Role

You might remember Ehire Adrianza, the former Minnesota Twin known for his role as a versatile utility player during his time with the team from 2017 to 2020. He was a part of the legendary “Bomba Squad” lineup that made history with their home run hitting power 2019.
He also spent time with the San Francisco Giants, Atlanta Braves, Washington Nationals, and Los Angeles Angels. After announcing his retirement on December 24th, he’s now making his way back to the Twins organization.

Ehire Adrianza might be stepping away from playing, but he’s not leaving the game behind. The Minnesota Twins announced today that Adrianza is coming back to the organization, this time as the Assistant of Player Development.

Adrianza is now steering his career towards player development, concentrating especially on infielders—a role he knows all too well from his days on the diamond. He will be instrumental across the entire organization, from the grassroots of the minors to the pinnacle of the major leagues, imparting his wealth of knowledge and experience wherever it can make the most impact.

Adrianza wrapped up a 12-season run in the majors with a career batting average of .237. Over that time, he notched 33 hits and 22 home runs, putting a solid cap on his time in the big leagues.
During his four seasons with the Twins, Ehire Adrianza hit 13 home runs and racked up 199 hits in 788 at-bats, giving him a solid .253 batting average during his time with the team.
Now, he’s bringing his experience and knowledge back to the organization, which is huge for the younger players. Hearing from someone who’s been through it all can make a big difference for their development.
