Tannehill blows out his knee and the Teddy rumors fly:

We know all-too-well about losing our starting QB to a knee injury in training camp. That’s what happened to Ryan Tannehill this week and the Dolphins are now scrambling to find options, if he can’t come back. One of the options that swirled a little Friday was Florida-native, Teddy Bridgewater. I don’t see it since we don’t even know if he will play this year. He had some interesting tweets recently though:

Twins bats get hot and Colon goes the distance vs the Rangers:

Dozier led the game off tonight with another solo HR. It is his 18th HR of the year. The Twins didn’t look back from there, getting 3 more in the 1st inning alone. Grossman., Dozier, and Mauer all had multiple hits.

Colon went ALL 9 innings setting the record as the oldest pitcher to go the distance in the AL. The Twins win 8-4. Here are some highlights:

Granite gets sent down to make room for Gibson:

Zack Granite just got sent down to the minors to make room for Kyle Gibson to come up and pitch. With Buxton and Rosario hitting so well of-late, and Granite having plenty of options left, it probably made the most sense. Here is Brandon Warne:

Lindsey Whalen breaks her hand, has surgery:

The Lynx took a hit today when Lindsey Whalen had surgery on a fractured bone in her hand. Whalen is a beloved sports figure in Minnesota from her days at the U to leading the Lynx to WNBA Titles. Her timetable is unclear.
