Rapper Drake Betting BIG on the MN Timberwolves

Later tonight, Game 3 of the Minnesota Timberwolves vs Los Angeles Lakers NBA Playoff matchup tips off, where Target Center will come alive for the first time of the series. Not only will the Timberwolves be hosting their first home playoff game of the season, several stars, including rapper Drake and Ice-T, will be watching closely.
While Ice-T will be in attendance along the sidelines, Drake will be paying special attention to the outcome of the game after reportedly betting $620,000 on the Timberwolves to win.
The hip hop icon made his private bet public on his Instagram page, where “champagnepapi” included a special note for Anthony Edwards.
“Lemme see sum real quick Ant”

Betting against the Lakers, who hold the three seed in comparison to the Timberwolves’ six seed, is a bold move. Yet, Drake is known to be a huge basketball fan who can commonly be seen rooting for his hometown Toronto Raptors. Only in this case, he’s going all in on the Timberwolves to beat the Lakers instead.
After the Timberwolves got out to slow starts playing at crypto.com Arena, are you as confident as Drake is in the home team emerging with a 2-1 series lead? Chances are, if Ant answers Drake’s call to “show him something,” then the Timberwolves will be in a good position to win, and Drake will be even richer than he already is.
Yet, if the Lakers take a 2-1 series lead, the Timberwolves will suddenly face a desperate need to win Game 4 at home before the series heads back to Los Angeles for Game 5.
On the other hand, if the Timberwolves can take a 2-1 series lead, it sets up what should be an electric scene at Target Center for Game 4, with the chance to take a deafening 3-1 series lead. Tonight will be a very big matchup, and Drake is just one of many with skin in the game.
