Minnesota Timberwolves Sign Veteran Sharpshooter

The Minnesota Timberwolves needed outside shooting help this offseason, one way or another. On Wednesday, they reportedly found some in 36-year-old sharpshooter Joe Ingles, who played for the Orlando Magic in 2023-24.

Ingles averaged 4.4 points, 3 assists and 2.1 rebounds per game last season while shooting 43.5% from deep. He played just over 17 minutes per game.

Now that Kyle Anderson is gone, Ingles makes a lot of sense to fill his spot on the roster, which is why the Wolves were connected to Ingles quickly after he became available. He provides a lot of the same things Anderson did, but he can shoot.
The Australian also played multiple years in Utah with Mike Conley and Rudy Gobert, which should help his transition in Minnesota. Ingles has played ten NBA seasons, eight of which were with the Jazz. Prior to his time in Orlando, Ingles played one season in Milwaukee.
