The Minnesota Timberwolves have moved on from the Karl-Anthony Towns trade, and Donte DiVincenzo already looks like he’s fitting in nicely next to Anthony Edwards. KAT has played three preseason games for the New York Knicks since the trade, but Julius Randle has yet to see the floor.

We thought Randle might make his debut on Sunday against his old team, but nevertheless, the Timberwolves held their new All-Star power forward out of the lineup. But that’s okay, but Randle’s time is coming, very soon.

According to NBA insider Chris Haynes, Julius Randle will make his Minnesota Timberwolves preseason debut on Wednesday night against the Chicago Bulls.

Randle last played in an NBA game on January 27th, when he suffered a season-ending shoulder injury that required surgery. The two-time All-NBA big missed the entire Knicks postseason while rehabbing from surgery and has yet to make it back on the floor for an official game ever since.

However, Randle has been able to join his new Timberwolves teammates during practices, which should have him in proper condition to play in an exhibition game. After their Bulls matchup, the Wolves have just one more game on their preseason schedule, which will be a back-to-back, taking place on Thursday. It remains to be seen whether Randle will play in both games.

Minnesota’s regular-season opener arrives next Tuesday, Oct. 22, on the road against the Lakers.
