The Minnesota Golden Gophers football team got a big commitment awhile back from a kid that many called “one of the fastest HS wide receiver in Texas”. Well, Brady Boyd showed off more than just his speed during a touchdown catch and run that he completed in the 6A Division 1 Texas State Football Tournament tonight.

Watch this.

Texas 6A Division 1 State Championship

Boyd plays for the #3 high school football team in the state of Texas, Southlake Carroll. His quarterback, Quinn Ewers is the #1 rated player in all of high school football, according to 247Sports.com. He’s committed to the Ohio State.

They’re playing against the #1 team in the state, Austin Westlake. Talk about a heavyweight bout. High school football doesn’t get any bigger than the game that Brady Boyd and his teammates are playing in right now. You cannot get better experience as a young football player.

And to see him catch that pass and then put the spin move on those defenders in that moment… wow. What a night that would have been. But, Boyd wasn’t done.

Down 21-14, Soutlake Carroll needed somebody to make a play… so they dialed up Brady Boyd, who cashed in again. This time, Boyd had to go up and get the ball over his defender. Yeah, Ewers is pretty good too.
