In more tragic news today relating to death, the Timberwolves just released this statement, about Karl-Anthony Towns’ mother, Jackie, passing away after a battle with COVID-19, the disease caused by Coronavirus.
It was reported a couple of weeks ago, that Karl’s mom had been put on a ventilator as she fought for her life. As reported then, KAT’s dad tested positive but has since recovered.
This virus has taken ten’s of thousands of lives over the last few months (that have been counted) and it’s a terrible and lonely way to go. Keep KAT, his family and Jackie in your thoughts and prayers.
RIP
For those who don't know, Jacqueline Cruz made the world go 'round for the Towns family. She was the light. The energy. The beating heart. I can't say enough how much I enjoyed her spirit. My thoughts are with @KarlTowns and the entire family.
