Minnesota vs Wisconsin was BTN’s Most-Watched Regular Season Basketball Game in History

It looks like the Minnesota vs Wisconsin game on Sunday at the Kohl Center, went down as the most-viewed regular season Big Ten Network basketball game in history. It was also the most-watched game of the entire day, regardless of network.

The Gophers lost both that game, and their NCAA Tournament hopes… but at least people were there to watch the letdown, amirite….

It’s funny… we hear constantly about how small market Minnesota is… “fly-over country”, they tell us. Yet, the ratings our teams bring to networks who broadcast OR even talk about them, consistently places those networks at the top of their specific media categories.

Sure, Big Ten Network is mostly midwest but we set standards for Disney when we hosted College Gameday or when our football team played on ABC/ESPN last season, consistently beating even the biggest matchups in the same time-slot.

KFAN does a great job, but the craving our fans have for their sports teams is a large part of the reason they rank #1 NATIONALLY, for sports radio stations.

Put a Minnesota team on your network if you want ratings. It’s also cool to see Big Ten Network continuing to grow. That is a good thing for anyone who likes all of the coverage they give midwest teams in all sports.
